Understand the actions or inactions of citizens voting in the local, regional, or national government elections.
Markelytics conduct political research for political candidates or parties to delve into the psyche of the citizens, study their political behavior, and know what they think about the public policies, and what are their expectations from the governments. We provide opinion and exit polls to get a detailed perceptual analysis of certain demographics.
Opinion Polls
To find the public opinion before elections, we help political parties frame the right set of questions and the methodology used to collect the opinion through phone calls (selected or random), e-mails, web-based and field surveys. This helps political parties get a broad trend and a sense of direction as to the mood of the nation/nations.
A few of the considerations that Markelytics follows to choose the right sample according to the research objective –
Section of the country – North, East, South, West
Community – Metropolitan cities, Tier 2 & 3 cities, towns, villages, or farm
Standard of living – Wealthy, Average or Poor
Gender – Male or Female
Age – Youth, Middle-aged, or Senior citizens
Exit Polls
Markelytics conduct exit polls to collect demographic data about voters and to find out why they voted as they did before leaving their balloting locations. We conduct extensive research to capture the voting intentions of last-minute deciders. The analysis shed light on why the election turned out the way it did & which key demographic groups voted for which candidates, and why.
We help parties conduct field surveys with a broad set of questionnaires to understand the psyche behind their voting. To estimate the outcome of an election in a particular constituency, we consider the sample of the various voting units and assign our field team to each sampled location on Election Day.
Our research team typically gathers three types of data through questionnaires:
- How the respondent voted in the election
- The voter's various opinions, such as the factors that were essential in choosing their vote and their party affiliation
- The voter's demographic attributes, such as age, gender, race, and level of education
